BIOS

Each node comes with the vendor BIOS installed.  If you want an owner-controlled BIOS instead, the system can be operated with coreboot.

Refurbished Certificate

The KGPE-D16 Workstation consists for refurbished/used parts.  Vikings does rigorous testing of all refurbished and used parts.

International Shipping: CMOS Batteries

CMOS batteries are not included due to shipping regulations, they are classified as dangerous goods for air transport and must be removed before dispatch.  These are easily available from any local electronics store.  CMOS batteries are not required for operation, but highly recommended to keep the hardware clock up to date when the system is removed from the power socket.
