Shipping carriers
Depending on the type, size and weight of the ordered goods, we have a variety of shipping possibilities available. We use UPS and DHL to ship our products. Depending on the product, weight and dimensions the available shipping options will be displayed during checkout. The price of the shipment includes insurance fees.
Shipping with UPS
With UPS, we have a range of shipping options available (availability depends on the shipping address): UPS Standard, UPS Express, UPS Express Saver
Shipping with DHL Parcel Germany
DHL Parcel Germany often is a more economical option for shipping while still relatively fast, that being said it usually takes a couple of days longer than some express services. Vikings uses the faster DHL Parcel Germany “Premium” service unless noted otherwise. DHL Parcel Germany can’t be used for sending batteries outside of Germany.
Shipping via forwarding agency
If advisable, for example for very heavy or particularly sensitive shipments, we ship via a forwarding agency.
VAT Information
VAT-exclusive and -inclusive pricing
Product detail pages may show the price exclusive and inclusive of VAT.
At the time of placing the order, before entering the checkout process, the VAT-inclusive price and the applicable VAT are estimates. We calculate the final price and VAT rate at checkout. We base the calculation on your deliver-to location, the deliver-from location and whether you have a valid EU VAT registration number. You will also see the final price, including any applicable VAT (which may be zero-rated), in your delivery confirmation and on your invoice. Please note that in some circumstances, you will pay an import fees deposit.
Vikings cannot assess your eligibility to reclaim VAT. If you’re unsure whether you can reclaim VAT, please ask your tax advisor.
Customs information
The recipient of an international delivery may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a delivery reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient. We have no control over these charges and can’t predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country. Please contact your local customs office for further information.
Customs forms for non-EU deliveries show the value of items included in the delivery by product type. We reserve the right to provide such information to customs to simplify the process for our customers – or due to legal obligations. Customs can open and control packages; we have no control over that.
The customs authorities of some countries require a special proof of identification from the importer of goods before a delivery is cleared. As the importer of the goods, you or the recipient of the delivery may be required to provide an identification number, e.g., national identification number, CPF or tax number.
Possible Deviations from Country-Specific Standards
For products dispatched internationally, manufacturer warranty may not be valid, manufacturer service options may not be available and product manuals, instructions and safety warnings may not be in destination country languages. The products (and accompanying materials) may not be designed in accordance with destination country standards, specifications and labeling requirements. The products may not conform to destination country voltage and other electrical standards (requiring use of an adapter or converter if appropriate). You’re responsible for assuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country. When ordering from the Vikings Store, the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country.
